Olu Akerekoro

Olu Akeroro has more than 10 years of progressively experience in Geology. He started his career in 2006 with Petrodata Management Services Limited Lagos and BGP/CNPC International Nigeria Limited Port Harcourt respectively.
Subsequently in order to enhance his skill set, Olu joined Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) Port-Harcourt Nigeria and where he became an Operations Geologist. And later worked briefly in ENI – Ghana in May 2012 as an offshore Wellsite Geologist.
At NAOC, Olu’s responsibilities included but not limited to preparation of geological drilling programme, overseeing (Well-site Geologist) Onshore/Offshore geological drilling jobs, he managed HPHT wells, stratigraphy correlations, formation evaluation and petro-physical studies. Expert user of TECHLOG, geoSCOUT, AccuMap, Sufer, Geolog, Petrel, Decision Space, EQUIS – Earthsoft, WELLVIEW, HRH Gravitas and IHS Data Manager.
Olu now lives in Canada since April 2013 and worked for Syncrude Canada and Imperial- ExxonMobil Oil Canada as a consultant through SGS Petroleum Service Corporation. Where he developed his skills further in conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon exploration. He has worked in some oil fields with crude oil API gravity below 22.3°.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geology from the University of Ado Ekiti, Nigeria and Applied bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Calgary, Canada.
